John Ronald Simm (born 10 July 1970) is an award winning English actor. His work includes: Life on Mars, Cracker, The Lakes, Sex Traffic, State of Play, Crime and Punishment, Exile, Doctor Who and Prey, and on stage: Hamlet, Elling, The Homecoming, Betrayal, Speaking in Tongues, Three Days in the Country and The Hothouse. He has been nominated twice for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor, and is a Laurence Olivier Award nominee for best actor. His films include Wonderland, Everyday, Boston Kickout, Human Traffic, and 24 Hour Party People.
